Ammo availability is out of hand.

Has Alexander Arms issued any statement regarding the .50 Beowulf ammo availability? I was lucky enough to stumble upon 80 rounds at a local shop this past weekend but that was dumb luck. No retailer I have contacted will even back order ammo from AA due to the spotty deliveries. I would hope that Alexander Arms is trying to address the issue but have not seen anything to support that. I sold my upper just before the holidays raise some Santa Clause funds for the kids. I have since started acquiring parts to build a new upper. I have a new barrel on order from Midway that should be here in a couple of days. I starting to think I'm wasting my time with this build. It seems like AA is leaving a lot of money on the table by not stepping up ammo production.

In another thread Mr AA himself AKA Bill mentions that the company is in the process of upgrading there reloading equipment to increase production and quality.

Issues that have bin hashed and rehashed on this board and others.

It is hard to fight in the same weight class as the big boys without the money or resources as them. personally I think they are doing quite well considering the state of things and the short time they have bin in the game.

I've had my Wulf for a little over a year now. When I first got it I was struggling like everyone else to acquire ammo. Very frustrating. Over the course of the last year I was lucky and got a few back orders in and an order of brass from Midway. If you persevere and have patience you will be able to fill all your ammo needs. It takes planning ahead. My most recent order was filled not too long ago and it had been on backorder for nearly a year. From this and other orders I was able to help out some local guys and still have enough ammo to keep satisfied for a while. You have to perpetually keep it on order, every three months put in another order whether you need it or not. If you can't afford to pay off your credit card when the ammo invoice hits it you can liquidate the ammo quite easily on the net.

    Good luck.
